I receive a weekly short blog called W.I.S.E. Drops (W=wisdom, I=inspiration, S=self-care, E=empowerment) from Alexadra Petrus (www.petrusalexandra.com). A recent post contained such good advice that I am sharing the whole thing. โIt invites us to pause and notice where โlaterโ has quietly settled into life. She explores the subtle cost of postponement, the calm power of clear โNOโs,โ the kind of self-care that feels like protection rather than pressure, and a gentle way to shift from worry back into grounded action.โ
โWISDOM — Donโt Live a “Later” Life”.
Later, the coffee gets cold.
Later, the excitement fades.
Later, the day turns into night.
Later, people grow upโฆ and grow old.
Later, life quietly moves on.
After later, very often what remains is regret.
Regret for the words you didnโt say.
The chances you postponed.
The version of you, you kept putting on hold because it didnโt feel like the โright time.โ
Later is a dangerous place to store the things that matter.โ
โINSPIRATION — The Quiet Power of A NO List”
I keep a NO list.
I donโt gossip. And when others start, I gently stop it.
I donโt wear clothes with patterns.
I donโt dye my hair.
I donโt make exceptions when it comes to cleanliness.
I donโt let my kitchen stay dirty until the next day.
I donโt answer my phone after 8 pm.
I donโt insist twice where Iโm not met halfway.
These are not rules, more like quiet agreements I make with myself.
It isnโt about control or perfection. Itโs about peace.
Every โNoโ creates space. For clarity. For calm. For energy.
For a life that feels clean, not just on the outside, but inside too.
Whatโs on your NO list?โ
โSELF-CARE — Be the Adult You Needed as a Child.
The one who listens instead of dismissing.
The one who soothes instead of pushing harder.
The one who protects softness, rest, and safety.
The one who does not rush your feelings away.
The one who chooses calm over chaos and care over criticism.
Be the adult who says, you do not have to earn love by being perfect.
You donโt need to relive the past to heal it. You just need to show up differently for yourself now.โ
โEMPOWERMENT — How to Shift from Worry to Power”
Pause when your mind begins to spiral.
Gently ask yourself: Is this within my control?
If the answer is no, exhale and let it go. It is not yours to fix or carry right now.
If the answer is yes, choose one small action: send an email, set the boundary, move your body, drink water, soften your thoughts.
Each time you respond this way, you reclaim your power.
โI let go of what I canโt control and move forward with what I can.โ
ย Come back to this mantra whenever worry shows up.
A sound healing session is another beautiful way to shift worry or pain into calmness and peace. Donโt wait till later to act. Give yourself the gift of rest you may need. Email me at wholeharmonichealing@gmail.com for a session today.
