Marcel Vogel (1917-1991) holds several patents and was renowned for his scientific discoveries in the field of luminescence. He worked for IBM for 27 years creating magnetic coating for disc drives and creating LCD (Liquid Crystal Displays) technologies. Readers may not realize he is also one of the most prominent crystal and metaphysical researchers of our times. His crystal research sparked huge public interest in crystals.

His colleagues thought it was highly unusual when he left IBM in 1984 to explore spiritual interests and start PRI, Psychic Research Inc. At PRI he conducted original research into the powers of advanced crystal technologies, and the structuring of water as an information medium.

His spiritual abilities were uniquely powerful. Purcrystal.com reports two interesting experiments. “In one, Vogel used one of his crystals while focusing his mind on an oleate (fatty acid) of cholesterol for an hour while simultaneously visualizing the Blessed Mother. His mental image of the Blesses Mother visibly imprinted and appeared in the liquid crystals of cholesterol. Vogel thereby demonstrated the reality of crystals receiving and holding stable imprints coming directly from the human mind”. (“Vogel Crystals: Keys to Understanding Their Power”) Today, the computer industry has replicated that technology and continues to research and implement crystal-based storage systems to replace silicon chips.

In another experiment Vogel received a powerful spiritual vision of a crystal design for ‘healing, information storage and transfer and energy activation.’ It became famous in the 1980’s as the “Vogel Crystal” pictured below:

“this shape maximizes the collection, amplification, and transmission of the Universal Life Force energy. The design allows thoughts and energy to enter the crystal at the broad receptive end, be amplified and focused as it travels in a circular pattern through the crystal and be transmitted like a laser beam from the focal or pointed end. It has an optimal resonant shape for cohering thought and energy, so it is an excellent healing and meditation tool. So, in healing it is both an optimal “Activation” and “Projection” crystal. When holding one for “Activation,” it will open and strengthen all seven chakra centers and auric fields promoting emotional balance along with a deep sense of relaxation and a peaceful, centered state of mind. It focuses our life force on accomplishing our goals and dreams with laser like precision. It may assist in connecting us with spiritual beings during meditation. As a ‘Projection’ crystal, it sends powerful, coherent, focused energy to a client or any desired recipient without the sender getting depleted. It helps extract and clear toxic or negative energy.

Marcel Vogel was keenly aware of potential misuse given the tremendous power of his crystals. He permanently installed safeguards in them at the time of their creation. For example, if a person tries to use the crystal in anger, internal flaws may appear or the crystal itself may crack to prevent misuse. Safeguards are not present in fake Vogels.

• The crystal must be natural quartz.
• It must be hand cut with proper intention, skill, and understanding of the crystal and its intended uses.
• The crystal must be double terminated or cut and polished into that shape.
• It must have four or more side facets.
• The receptive (female) end of the crystal must be faceted forming an internal angle of 51 degrees, 51 minutes, 51 seconds. This is the same angle as the angle of the sides of the Great Pyramid at Giza.
• The transmitter (male) end of the crystal must be faceted with a more acute internal angle than the receptive end.
• The crystal must be cut completely aligned with the C axis of the quartz crystal.

It takes a great deal of training, and precision to cut a Vogel crystal. Four sources for true Vogel Crystals are known. A former associate of Marcel Vogel owns Lifestream Associates of Orlando Florida. It holds the trademark for “Vogel-cut Crystals” and has reserved it for their use. Bill Hurley, www.crystalwings.com,  “studied and was certified by Marcel Vogel in the early 1970’s. He cuts authentic Vogel crystals and markets them as Master Healing Crystals.” Mr. Ray Pinto, www.doorwaystopower.com , markets “Kabbalistic Healing Wands”, which are cut the exact way that Marcel Vogel instructed using the same intentions, angles and proportions.” The last two do not use the words “Vogel Crystals” to avoid copyright issues.
