Thank you all who watched the โProfessionals of the Roundtableโ podcast. During the last third of the podcast, I demonstrated several tuning fork techniques for healing and relaxation.
FACIAL TONE LIFT ยฉ
Facial Tone Lift ยฉ produces a lovely relaxing effect. Itโs beneficial to practice this technique in the mirror. Doing so lets you easily watch the fork as it travels along the head and face. Donโt worry if the โinchโ measurements arenโt exact. Mentally divide your head and face into vertical planes. Use the 128 hertz weighted fork. Place the weighted end near the head.
ยท Step 1: Start in the center, at the top of the head. Tone the fork. Hold the fork as close to the hair or skin as possible without touching it. Move the fork SLOWLY over the hair, down the center of the face down to the center of the neck. Let the vibrations sink deeply into facial tissue.
ยท Step 2: Hold the fork in your right hand. Start at the top of the head and move the tuning fork to the right about 1-inch from the center. Tone the fork and move it slowly over the hair, down the face, down to the neck area. Maintain the 1-inch distance from the center as best you can. The fork should pass over the inside edge of the eye. It should move just to the right of the nostril and continue down the chin to the neck.
ยท Step 3: Go back to the top of the head. Move the tuning fork to the right about 2-inches from the center of the head. Tone the fork. Move it slowly over the hair, down the face to the neck. Maintain the 2-inch distance from the center. The fork should pass over the outside edge of the eye, cheekbones, etc.
ยท Step 4: Go back to the top of the head. Move the tuning fork to the right about 3-inches from the center of the head. Tone the fork. Move slowly over the hair, down the face, down to the neck area maintaining the 3-inch distance from the center. The fork should pass in front of the ear as it goes down the face to the jaw and neck.
ยท Step 5: Go back to the top of the head. Move the fork to the right about 4-inches from the center line. This starting point should be about 2-inches above the ear. Tone the fork and move it slowly over the ear, down to the side of the neck.
ยท Repeat steps 2-5 on the left side of the head and face with your left hand.
TONIC SMUDGING ยฉ
An often overlooked and novel utilization is cleansing and/or clearing a room, person or object with tuning forks. Traditionally, herbs like Sage, Cedar or Sweetgrass are used. For people with allergies, that is not an option. A tuning fork is an excellent substitute. Use it in the same way that you would use your smudge. Create sacred space. Set your intention to cleanse and clear the space, person or object. For an object or person, strike the fork and rotate it in all directions around them. For a room, stand in the middle and hold your intention to cleanse the space. Tone the fork. Extend it from your body as far as you can and slowly rotate 360ยฐ. Allow the sound to permeate every part of the room. If the room is open, there is a second choice. Tone the fork in the center. Walk the toned fork to each of the four corners. Then, return to the center.
